11”x17” Hand Embroidered Project *** This is a 2 day class ***
Grace is intended to be framed but you can make into a small wall hanging or pillow. Pattern only includes direction to frame. As you can see Grace is a work in progress, I have had this piece brewing in my heart for some time. There is no better event to debut this EXCLUSIVE project than at Quilters Gathering in Berlin 2024! I encourage you to take a hand embroidered adventure with me! In this class you will be the first to lay your eyes on the final project.
If you are new to hand embroidery that is ok, come learn the basics, everything from tracing to hand stitching. If you are more advanced GREAT, you will learn my favorite tips and tricks to make your hand embroidery, come to life. We will explore all my favorite stitches (perfecting chain, back and stem stitch) and of course some new ones. We will be adding texture and depth to “Grace” by adding small scraps of fabric and English paper piecing. You will see I have been inspired by kantha slow stitching and big stitch quilting. After tracing our project, we will explore these two techniques, along with adding some English paper piecing for embellishing! We will be thinking outside the box and free stitching each of our “Grace” projects. This special project may be my design but when you leave it will be uniquely yours.

Basic Kit $45
Includes Pattern, Background Fabrics, Fabrics for "Kantha", English Paper Pieces, and Shape-Flex for back of Embroidery
Thread Kit ONLY $45
Includes up to 15 6-skein Cosmo flosses, a couple spools of wool thread, and some perle cottons. Does not include pattern
Full Kit $90
Includes everything in both kits.
Additional supplies will be available for class participants to purchase in the Olive Grace booth in the vendor mall.
Registration for this class gets you admission to the Vendor Mall on Thursday.
If the event you wish to cancel your paid class, you must forward your confirmation email to quiltersgatheringinberlin@gmail.com with your cancellation request. Your request must be received prior to August 1, 2024. A $20 cancellation fee will be charged against your class refund. No refunds will be issued after August 1, 2024 - No Exceptions.
