Class Description

Pumpkin Applique - A Starch Applique Technique Class This class will focus on the technique of learning the starch applique method to turn raw edges over a cardstock weight freezer paper to complete the pictured pumpkin. You will turn both inward and outward curves and circles, fold under points and corners (no dog ears left to turn while stitching), and make stems. You will glue baste your design to your background after removing the freezer paper, then hand stitch in place while learning about needles and threads. Throughout the class I will share lots of tips for successfully completing applique projects. Bring your own fabrics and take home a block to use in your next project . Included in your class fee is a kit that will include your pattern, freezer paper templates, fray block, glue, and sample needles. The instructor will provide other tools and supplies for the project, such as the starch, thread, and pressing boards for use during class. A complete Supply List will be emailed to registered students mid-summer. Class fee includes Vendor Mall entrance ticket. To register, Click on ‘Register Now’, then click on the class time provided. Cancelation Policy

CANCELLATION OF EVENT ENROLLMENT In the event you wish to cancel your paid class, you must forward your confirmation email to quiltersgatheringinberlin@gmail.com. Your request must be received prior to August 1, 2022. A $15 cancellation fee will be charged against your class refund. No refunds will be issued after August 1, 2022 - no exceptions.
